"Ajith Kumar"was born as the middle child to a Tamil father and a Sindhi mother in Hyderabad on may 1st 1971. He is an Indian film actor working predominantly in Tamil cinema.
He worked as a Two-wheeler Mechanic before entering into the cinema's which motivated and inspired him to become bike and car racer.
Ajith is an ardent car racer, who participated in various races like Formula 2 Championship, 2003 Formula Asia BMWChampionship & many races in abroad and the ranked at top 3 which made him a familiar racer in India.
Ajith started dating his Amarkalam co-star Shalini in 1999. They both married in the year 2000 in Chennai.! He is a very kind and normal human being that he didn't present himself like a celebrity in public.
Ajith is also a well known pilot! He is one of the few celeb's who flies a fighter jet and also holds a pilot license.!
He began his career as a supporting actor in a Telugu film before gaining critical recognition in the Tamil thriller Aasai (1995),before going on to establish himself as a romantic hero with Kadhal Kottai (1996), Aval Varuvala (1998) and Kadhal Mannan (1998) being the most notable. He was later seen in Vaali (1999), Mugavaree (2000), Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000) and Citizen (2001) before establishing himself as an action hero with popular films, including Amarkalam (1999), Dheena (2001), Villain (2002), Mankatha (2011), Arrambam (2013), Veeram (2014) and Vedalam (2015).
Ajith became a most popular personality in the media of Tamil Nadu,attracting with his self confidence,boldness and unique way of leading life on his own, he remains hugely popular in South India as "Thala".Thala is a Word that derived from the word Thalaivar, which means "a leader" or a person who leads
something great. Ajith was listed in Forbes India's Top 100 Celebrities for the Year 2014. In the recent polling conducted in Tamli nadu,he was selected as a person of great humanity and status in the Public.
